Liverpool raced to their second win of the week at the London Stadium with an impressive display against a lacklustre West Ham.
Mohammed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool, as the away side hit their struggling opponents with a devastating counter attack.
Joel Matip poked home before the break to make it 2-0 with West Ham unable to clear from a low Liverpool corner.
The beginning of the second-half saw West Ham take to the field looking much improved, pulling one back through Manuel Lanzini.
Just as it looked the home side might mount some form of comeback, Liverpool struck again through Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain netting his first Premier League goal for the club.
Salah added to his and Liverpool's tally 75 minutes in when the Egyptian fired in a delightful low finish, killing off any hopes of a West Ham revival.

Conte's side are under pressure to deliver on Sunday.Photo: PA
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte believes adversity will reveal the true character of his players.
Conte declined to discuss Nemanja Matic's transfer from Chelsea to Old Trafford, or comment on his relationship with Jose Mourinho, ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester United.
The Blues boss focused on his own team, who are seeking to respond from Tuesday night's 3-0 Champions League loss at Roma, which saw Conte questioning their "hunger".
"We are struggling a lot, because we are facing a lot of important problems," Conte said.

"To solve these problems is not simple. In this moment you can see if you are a winner or a loser.
"It's important to show our character, to be strong, to face the problem in the right way."
Chelsea beat Manchester United 4-0 and 1-0, in the FA Cup, at Stamford Bridge last season and Mourinho cut a frustrated figure on both occasions.
The Portuguese, who won three Premier League titles in two spells with Chelsea, and Conte have exchanged verbal taunts, but the Italian declined to add to the animosity.
Conte said: "It's not important, the relationship between the coaches. We have to respect the job of the other coaches.

"I have a respect for the job. I stop and finish. He's an opponent and I'm an opponent for him. After the game it will be the same."
Some questioned Chelsea for allowing Matic to swap Chelsea for United in the summer, but Conte said he had addressed the topic before.
There has been regular speculation over Conte's own position, due to the Blues' battle for consistency this term.
Owner Roman Abramovich visited Chelsea's Cobham training ground last Sunday, following the win over Bournemouth, which Conte insisted was not unusual.
This time 12 months ago Chelsea were embarking on a 13-game winning run in the Premier League.

They have lost three of their first 10 Premier League matches this term, to sit nine points behind leaders Manchester City entering this weekend's fixtures.
Asked how important Sunday's game is for the title race, Conte pointed to the form of Pep Guardiola's side.
"Now there is a big problem for all the teams that want to fight for the title and this big problem is Manchester City," Conte said.
"If they continue in this way it will be very difficult to fight for the title."
N'Golo Kante is "progressing well" following his six-game absence with a hamstring injury and will be given every chance to prove his fitness and start.

Danny Drinkwater, Kante's former Leicester team-mate, could make his first Premier League start for Chelsea in midfield.
Club captain Gary Cahill is to start on the left side of defence, having been substituted early on when starting on the right at Roma.
Conte declined to explain that tactical switch, saying: "Who must understand understands."
Victor Moses (hamstring) is the only definite absentee.
United, and Mourinho, have been criticised for an at times negative tactical approach. Conte refused to discuss the prospect of Mourinho's men "parking the bus".
He added: "I don't care about this. I think only my team, only my players.
"I have to think to try to improve my team and not think of the others

Nathan Redmond and Shane Long are among the players pushing for starts after being named as substitutes against the Seagulls.
For Burnley, striker Chris Wood may have to settle for a place on the bench.
The New Zealand international is recovering well from a hamstring injury but may not be risked from the start, while Steven Defour (groin) is in a similar position after coming off against Newcastle.
Nahki Wells (foot) proved his fitness with a hat-trick for the under-23s on Thursday night and should keep his spot on the bench, but Jon Walters, Dean Marney (both knee) and Tom Heaton (shoulder) remain out.

Meanwhile Brighton manager Chris Hughton has no fresh injury concerns ahead of his side's trip to the Liberty Stadium.
Beram Kayal, who has been out of action since breaking his leg in a pre-season friendly in August, and striker Sam Baldock are in contention to make their first-team returns.
Steve Sidwell is the only absentee as he continues his recovery from a back problem.

Winger Michail Antonio is out ofWest Ham's home game against Liverpool with a hamstring problem.
The Hammers are also short in defence with Pablo Zabaleta suspended and Sam Byram, Jose Fonte and James Collins injured.
But Aaron Cresswell has shaken off the dead leg which forced him off at half-time against Crystal Palace and fellow defender Winston Reid should be fit.
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could be in line for a surprise recall to the squad.
The Senegal international's return from a hamstring injury is a fortnight ahead of schedule and after joining full training on Thursday manager Jurgen Klopp said he looked like he could play 25 minutes.
Klopp will make late decisions on midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum (ankle) and defender Dejan Lovren (thigh) but playmaker Philippe Coutinho (adductor) is definitely out.
Tottenham vs Crystal Palace - Sunday 12pm

Tottenham will be without Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld for Sunday's game at home to Crystal Palace.
Lloris sustained a groin injury and Alderweireld a hamstring strain against Real Madrid on Wednesday but Harry Kane came through the match unscathed after shaking off his own hamstring problem.
Erik Lamela is not yet ready to return, however, after a year-long issue with his hips while Victor Wanyama also remains out with a knee injury.
Crystal Palace could welcome back Mamadou Sakho and James McArthur will both be in contention.
Defender Sakho and midfielder McArthur both returned to training following their respective calf and ankle injuries.
Patrick Van Aanholt is a doubt because of a hamstring injury, but could yet train on Saturday. Chung Yong Lee (hamstring) has been ruled out and the game will come too soon for striker Christian Benteke (knee).

Captain Vincent Kompany remains on the sidelines with a calf injury, but manager Pep Guardiola hopes to have him back in training after the international break.
Left-back Benjamin Mendy is the only other senior absentee due to a long-term knee injury.
Arsenal will be hoping Sead Kolasinac overcomes a hip injury in time to face City.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international limped out of last weekend's win over Swansea but manager Arsene Wenger believes he should be fit and available.
Wenger changed his entire team for the Europa League draw with Red Star Belgrade but the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette are in line to return at the Etihad Stadium, although Shkodran Mustafi (hamstring), Santi Cazorla (ankle), Calum Chambers (hip), Danny Welbeck and David Ospina (both groin) remain sidelined.
Chelsea vs Manchester United - Sunday 4:30pm

Kante could be joined in midfield by former Leicester team-mate Danny Drinkwater, who could make his first Premier League start for Chelsea.
Right wing-back Victor Moses (hamstring) is the only definite absentee, with captain Gary Cahill poised to start in defence despite his early tactical substitution in the loss at Roma.
Jose Mourinho does not expect to have any of his injured players back for the game.
Manchester United were without five players for Tuesday's Champions League win over Benfica while Jesse Lingard picked up a back problem and was substituted at half-time.
Paul Pogba, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo have all spent significant time on the sidelines.
Everton v Watford - Sunday 4:30pm

Everton's Michael Keane is expected to have recovered from a foot problem in time for Everton's clash with Watford on Sunday.
The Toffees will be without Cuco Martina, who has been given the all-clear after taking a bang to the head and neck during Everton's Europa League loss to Lyon but is expected to be sidelined for a couple of weeks as a precaution.
Wayne Rooney, Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka all return to the squad after being rested for the trip to France as does Oumar Niasse, who is ineligible for European fixtures.
Watford captain Troy Deeney will miss the trip as he begins his three-match ban.
Deeney was dealt a retrospective suspension after admitting a charge of violent conduct against Stoke.
Roberto Pereyra misses out with a hamstring niggle, while defenders Sebastian Prodl (thigh) and Younes Kaboul (hamstring) are still sidelined, but boss Marco Silva hopes the duo will return after the international break.
Sergio Aguero became Manchester City's all-time record goal scorer.Photo: PA
A record-breaking goal from Sergio Aguero sent Manchester City into the Champions League knockout stages with a brilliant 4-2 win at Napoli.
Aguero struck in the 69th minute at the imposing San Paolo Stadium to enter the club record books as their leading goalscorer with 178.
It all but settled an absorbing contest in which City had responded to Lorenzo Insigne's early strike with goals from Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones, only to be pegged back again by a Jorginho penalty. Raheem Sterling put the gloss on City's win in the closing moments.
Both sides also hit the woodwork as the leaders of the Premier League and Serie A played out a high-quality game in keeping with their outstanding form.
City's fine performance came after a sluggish start. Napoli fans delivered the intimidating atmosphere manager Maurizio Sarri had requested and City looked heavy-legged.
John Stones hit the bar and also scored with a towering header. Credit: PA
Napoli, by contrast, were sharp and produced a number of good attacks in the opening quarter. It came as no surprise when Insigne fired them in front.
Dries Mertens had already tested Ederson twice and Marek Hamsik had also tried his luck from long range.
Hamsik was again involved before Insigne drove forward, played a one-two with Mertens and clipped a neat shot past Ederson.
City seemed unsure of themselves but a break in play for an injury to Faouzi Ghoulam allowed them to regroup.
A lot of Napoli's early success had come down the City right, where Pep Guardiola had fielded Danilo instead of Kyle Walker. David Silva was also surprisingly left out but his midfield replacement Ilkay Gundogan allowed City to gain a foothold.
The tide turned as Aguero and Gundogan both had good efforts deflected off target and the equaliser came when Otamendi met a Gundogan cross with a firm header.
Jorginho pulled one back from the penalty spot but it was not enough for Napoli. Credit: PA
Otamendi might have had another soon after but miskicked in front of goal and Stones hit the bar with a header. Aguero headed another chance wide before Raheem Sterling, claiming a push by Elseid Hysaj, had a penalty appeal rejected.
City carried the momentum into the second half and went ahead when Stones thumped in a header off the bar from a Leroy Sane corner.
Napoli hit back as Insigne hit the woodwork from distance and Sane was adjudged to have fouled Raul Albiol in the box. Jorginho calmly stroked home the spot-kick.
Ederson made a great save from Jose Callejon but City broke from the resulting corner through Sane. He was unable to beat the last defender but Aguero picked up the loose ball and showed great composure to continue the charge and thump a shot into the bottom corner.
It secured Aguero's place in City history but more importantly put his side into a lead they did not relinquish.
With City through to the last 16 for a fifth successive year, Sterling added a fourth in injury time with a crisp low finish.
Dele Alli scored two goals as Spurs ran out 3-1 winners.Photo: PA
Tottenham delivered one of the finest victories in the club's history as Dele Alli scored twice in a 3-1 demolition of Real Madrid.
Spurs sealed qualification for the Champions League knockout stages in the most dramatic style, with two goals from Alli and one from Christian Eriksen ensuring a memorable night at Wembley.
The home fans were even cheering their side's every pass with 20 minutes left as Mauricio Pochettino's men threatened to humiliate their star-studded opponents, before Cristiano Ronaldo added a late consolation.
Victory means Tottenham move top of Group H on 10 points, three ahead of their Spanish opponents with two games remaining.
The last time Spurs overcame the European champions was in 2010 when Gareth Bale inspired them to beat Inter Milan by the same scoreline, but this was nothing if not a team performance.
Eric Dier moved to centre back due to a hamstring injury to Alderweireld. Credit: PA
Harry Kane, having overcome a hamstring injury, was irrepressible up front while Eriksen, Harry Winks and Kieran Trippier, along with Alli, could all lay claim to leaving as man of the match.
England manager Gareth Southgate, watching on in the stands, must have liked what he saw.
Real were admittedly hampered by injury, with Raphael Varane, Bale and Keylor Navas all absent - but that will do little to comfort the under-pressure Zinedine Zidane.
After losing to Girona in LaLiga on Sunday, this was the first time they had been beaten in a Champions League group match in 31 attempts.
They started brightly, Ronaldo welcoming Trippier with some trademark step-overs and then switching to the other flank to taunt Ben Davies with a flicked pass behind his legs.
But after a nervy start, Tottenham soon found their rhythm and Kane threatened before Trippier's volley was just ahead of Alli at the far post. It was almost an exact replica of the opening goal to come.
Ronaldo pulled a goal back for Spurs but ultimately it was a disappointing night for the Portuguese. Credit: PA
Winks' single fault of the half was to snatch at a shot after Marcelo's rash clearance and then Toby Alderweireld was forced off with a hamstring injury.
Moussa Sissoko replaced him and Eric Dier dropped into defence but Tottenham were not deterred.
Instead they took the lead, when Trippier again, volleyed first time across the box and this time Alli read it, nipping ahead of Nacho to poke home.
The remaining 18 minutes of the first half were end-to-end as Tottenham sniffed a second but risked conceding an equaliser.
Ronaldo twice went close, his first attempt the result of a dummy that had Davinson Sanchez doing a pirouette.
But Spurs survived and Pochettino thought they deserved a penalty when Alli went down after a tangle with Casemiro. Referee Cuneyt Cakir judged Casemiro to have won the ball first.
Madrid emerged with renewed vigour after half-time but 11 minutes in, Tottenham had a second.
Christian Eriksen added a third for Spurs to round off a stunning victory. Credit: PA
Eriksen allowed Dier's pass to run through to Alli, who skipped past Nacho and let fly. His shot deflected off Sergio Ramos and in at the near post.
Ronaldo stood with his hands on his hips and his frustration grew when a scramble in the area ended with his shot being blocked by team-mate Ramos.
There was worse to come. In the 65th minute, Alli freed Kane on the counter, who slid found Eriksen. The Dane was all on his own and rolled the ball past Casilla for number three.
Alli should have had a hat-trick when he headed another Trippier cross wide and Pochettino's substitution of Kane felt premature when Ronaldo drilled home from close range.
The final 10 minutes were nervier than they might have been but Tottenham held firm for a landmark European victory.
